Brand creation of Valnoches, Spanish wines, for the Maison BVC
Since its foundation in 1985, Maison BVC has been producing and exporting quality wines from Bordeaux and beyond. Maison BVC distributes its products all around the world, for mass market and online customers.
In 2014, the company took the initiative of establishing an associated Spanish company, located in the Utiel-Requena designation. The goal was to oversee the production of premium Spanish wines.
Context
Since its foundation, BVC Bodegas has invested in vineyards as well as winemaking and bottling facilities.
This structure enables BVC Bodegas to produce and bottle Spanish wines with the Utiel-Requena designation of origin. To reinforce its image as a Spanish wine producer, BVC has decided to develop a range of wines with a fresh, balanced profile in the Rioja DO under the name Valnoches.
Rioja wines are highly appreciated on the international scene, with a strong presence in many countries all across the globe. They are often considered to be representative of the quality and diversity of Spanish wines. The Rioja DO covers over 60,000 hectares in the provinces of Rioja Alta, Rioja Alavesa, and Rioja Oriental. The grape varieties selected for the production of BVC Bodegas wines come from Rioja Oriental.
Our work
For this project, Maison BVC asked Médiane to reimagine bottles’ packaging for its new brand. Designs imbued with the richness of Rioja’s terroirs while in line with contemporary trends.
To design packaging blending tradition and modernity, Médiane started by focusing on Valnoches’ brand strategy. We have established the brand’s identity and positioning and created the logo. Next, we worked on creating labels with distinctive textures, reliefs, and colors to differentiate each range. We also worked on back labels and bottle caps.
